The Morris Golf Co was founded by its Principal, Andrew Goosen.

 

Following his education at home in South Africa, Andrew spent almost a decade in Europe, and it was here where he paired his love of the game with his appetite for design.

 

On completing the Professional Diploma in Golf Course Architecture with The European Institute of Golf Course Architects, Andrew joined the U.K. golf design firm of Thomson Perrett & Lobb, and in late 2010 he returned to South Africa successfully establishing an African office for them.

 

Andrew has gained valuable experience in a number of countries during his time as a golf course architect, namely Europe, Turkey, the Middle East, North and West Africa, North America, the Indian Ocean and closer to home, Mozambique, Mauritius and South Africa.

The exposure gained whilst in Europe and the British Isles, of traditional golf courses and their architects form the basis for the philosophy of his designs and relationship with his clients.

 

In recognition of his abilities, his work at The Richmond Golf Club in London (whilst under the employ of Thomson Perrett & Lobb) was awarded the Best International Renovation of the Year for 2012 by Golf Inc.

The Morris Golf Co. uses time honoured principles of golf course design to create fair and engaging environments for golfers.
